In a large building that’s called a cast iron foundry, people make things from a tough kind of material called cast iron. The company, called Runpeng Precision Hardware, is a cast iron foundry that operates using special machines and skilled workers to make various items. Let’s enter the cast iron foundry and see how it's done
It is a scene with big machines and busy workers on every side inside the Cast Iron Foundry. The foundry, being a large workshop, is where casting iron happens. Workers wear protective clothing and helmets to stay safe working there. They have big machines that can melt the iron and then pour it into molds to create various shapes and sizes of products.
History of Cast Iron Casting Old ProcessesSand Castings – This is the traditional casting to make a mould by forming sand around a model of the item that you need to create. The sand is tightly packed around a pattern that has the shape of the piece. The investing casting liquid iron, poured in the mold, shapes to the pattern. After the iron has cooled and hardened, the sand mold is broken, and the completed piece is thus made.

The Casting Iron Process is the first stage for iron material such as iron sheets, lore, angles for design and manufacture of the scrap of ductile iron or cast iron. The molten iron is then cast into the sand molds to produce objects in the shapes of a desirable form. The gravity sand casting molds are then broken to remove the cast iron items once the iron has cooled and hardened. These articles are then cleansed and polished to be ready for use.

The Cast Iron Foundry The Cast Iron Foundry relies on skilled men and precision machinery. Workers must be trained and experienced to safely operate the machinery and handle the molten iron. Melt and pour iron into precision machined molds knowing gravity die casting exactly what size pellets you will end up with. Skill and machinery precision combine in their foundries and machine shops to give a consistent, high-quality cast iron product.

The Role of Cast Iron Foundries Today is to produce many of the items that we us in our many of our industry. Cast iron is used since centuries because of its beautiful appearance, strength, and long lasting durability, and used in many applications. Whether aluminium gravity die casting you’re repairing an industrial product, or making a meal in your kitchen; for us, and other cast iron foundries such as Runpeng Precision Hardware, that will never change.
